This series was inspired by a conference I attended on the environment.
Abandoning the canvas and traditional paintbrush, I painted on distressed and recycled wood, old door panels, using elements found in nature and around us. The wood has been left unprimed, the strength of colour relies on repeated coats of paint applied after each layer dries. Grass, pieces of sponge, wire and twigs were used instead of brushes.

The theme of the paintings is water, forest and reflections.
